You have two rental locations, what is the difference between Bass River and Swan River?

Bass River is bigger and wider open river that has a lot of motorboat traffic. That being said, it is more challenging to paddle. Not a lot of people are comfortable paddling along side with jet-skis and all kind of motorboats.

The Swan River is a winding narrow river that big motorized equipments are not allowed. It is tranquil with natural scenery where you can see lots of bird. Swan River is most preferred location for families who have young kids, beginners, or any individual who just wants to experience natural scenery and wild life beauty. Swan River is one of the easiest waterway to navigate in Cape Cod.

Can my kids paddle their own kayak?

Sure, they can! We have boats that are specifically designs for younger paddlers. As long as the kids had been on the kayak, they will do fine. Beginners are welcome too! It is required that an adult is present to supervise the whole time of excursion. With our experience, anyone under the age of 10 has challenging time using the paddle boards while it’s much more easier using kayaks.

Do you allow pets on the boats?

At Swan River, we do not allow pets. We paddle very closely to the river banks where abundant of wildlife hangouts all throughout the day. Pets can get excited and that they could be barking or jumping off from your boat. Occasionally, we make exceptions so please give us call.

We get this question all day long. If you have a waterproof safety bag, yes you can. If you don’t have one, then you are taking a high risk of getting your phone wet or dropping it on the water. The front desk sells waterproof phone pouch. But that does not guarantee that your phone is safe from getting into the bottom of the river. We are going to leave it up to your own decision.

What is your refund policy?

Cancellations due to weather such as rains and thunderstorms are fully refundable.
